If inflation is not compensated as the FHK has been demanding for months due to high inflation, there will inevitably be significant qualitative losses in the implementation of the current development and financing plan 2023/24 - 2025/26. The FHK is vehemently calling for an increase in funding rates from 1 January 2024 by 10% and by a further 10% from 1 January 2025. The additional costs caused by inflation must finally be fully covered. Universities of applied sciences need the same planning security as universities.

In view of the blatant shortage of skilled labour, it is completely incomprehensible that the Minister of Science and the Federal Government are not doing everything they can to secure the business location accordingly. It is the duty of the Federal Government and the Minister of Science in particular to take decisive action now and create reliable framework conditions for universities of applied sciences.
