With reference to today's OTS from Minister Faßmann, it is important for the FHK to emphasise that the expansion of UAS study places mentioned therein is by no means a matter of new or additional study places. Rather, these are study places that were already announced under Mitterlehner, approved under Mahrer and are now being celebrated as a success for the third time under Faßmann. These study places were already allocated to students in spring 2018. "It sounds a little strange when Minister Faßmann talks about new study places and suggests to the economy and the universities of applied sciences that these are new or future places for the university of applied sciences sector," said Secretary General Koleznik in response to today's press release from the BMBWF.
