"The recently published student numbers clearly show how much demand there is for the UAS sector among students and the economy, despite regulated study places," says FHK President Raimund Ribitsch, who is delighted with the current student numbers. He sees the main reasons for the unbroken interest in university of applied sciences degree programmes in the practical training at university level and the optimal study conditions.

"The rising student numbers and the simultaneously low number of unemployed graduates are strong proof that higher funding and additional investments in the UAS sector pay off and are particularly sustainable in terms of education and social policy," Ribitsch concluded.
