Raimund Ribitsch has been Managing Director of Salzburg University of Applied Sciences and a member of the FHK Board since the beginning of 2000. He was Vice President of the FHK from 2006 to 2017. He was elected FHK President for the first time in 2017.

"As President of the Austrian Conference of Universities of Applied Sciences, it is important to me to ensure the framework conditions for the continued success of universities of applied sciences. It is my goal to achieve compensation for the real loss in value of the funding rates before the end of this legislative period."

As an interest group, the FHK has contributed both nationally and at European level to making the universities of applied sciences an integral part of the scientific community. Especially in the regions, the universities of applied sciences are essentially responsible for the transfer of innovation and knowledge to the economy and society. Further strengthening the universities of applied sciences and their core competences of teaching and research is a responsible task that I am very much looking forward to over the next three years," says Raimund Ribitsch.

In addition to the election of Raimund Ribitsch as President, Ulrike Prommer, Managing Director of IMC FH Krems, was confirmed as 1st Vice President. Andreas Altmann, Managing Director of MCI, and Siegfried Spanz, Managing Director of Carinthia University of Applied Sciences, were also confirmed.
Andreas Breinbauer, Rector of the FH BFI Vienna, was elected as the new 2nd Vice President. Barbara Bittner, Rector of FH Campus Wien and Tanja Eiselen, Rector of FH Vorarlberg are new members of the Executive Board.
All candidates were elected unanimously.

The FHK represents the interests of universities of applied sciences and is committed to improving their financial and legal framework conditions in the areas of teaching and research.

As an umbrella organisation for all 21 Austrian universities of applied sciences, it promotes communication between its members, which are made up of all programme directors and rectors/college directors as well as all managing directors.
