The Austrian University of Applied Sciences Conference (FHK) and its members are deeply saddened by the sudden death of Peter Erlacher, Managing Director of the University of Applied Sciences Wiener Neustadt, who passed away unexpectedly during the Christmas holidays.
Peter Erlacher had held various positions within the management of FH Wiener Neustadt since 2013 and was only recently confirmed by the Supervisory Board in his role as Managing Director of Operations, which meant that he also represented FH Wiener Neustadt on the Board of FHK. His sudden death is a great loss for the entire university of applied sciences community.
FHK President Ulrike Prommer expresses her deep sadness: "The news of Peter Erlacher's tragic death has shaken me to the core. We have not only lost a valued colleague, but also a friend. My thoughts are with his family at this difficult time."
FHK Secretary General Kurt Koleznik is also deeply saddened: "We attended the last FHK Board meeting together on 29 November 2024. The news of Peter's sudden death is inconceivable and leaves a huge gap in our community. Our sympathies go out to his loved ones."
The FHK would like to express its deepest condolences to the bereaved and will always honour Peter Erlacher's memory.
