FHK President Ulrike Prommer is looking forward to future collaboration
The Austrian University of Applied Sciences Conference (FHK) warmly congratulates the new Science Minister Eva-Maria Holzleitner on her appointment and hopes for an open dialogue and constructive cooperation.
"We see the new minister as a partner in shaping the future framework conditions of our universities. The government programme contains important measures that need to be implemented quickly, especially in the area of sustainable funding for UASs, which also includes research for the first time. It also provides for the further development of our autonomy and the development of a doctorate model for UASs," said FHK President Prommer.
The FHK looks forward to the joint development of a new development and financing plan 2026-2030 with confidence, as research will also be taken into account for the first time. "Together with the new Science Minister Holzleitner, many important steps can be implemented so that the potential of the FH/HWA for Austria as a centre of science and innovation can unfold," says FHK Secretary General Kurt Koleznik.
