For a few days now www.fachhochschulen.ac.at in new splendour. The official study platform of all Austrian universities of applied sciences has been modernised and further developed both visually and in terms of content. Particular attention was paid to mobile usability. For the first time, there is an online guide on the website that answers questions about choosing a degree programme, applying and studying at a UAS.

Those interested in training and further education have already been able to register on www.fachhochschulen.ac.at to find out about the entire range of Austrian universities of applied sciences and find suitable study options using a personalised search. This unique service has been optimised and made more user-friendly as part of the relaunch. Prospective students can now make their individual selection quickly and easily, get an overview of the study programmes available at Austria's universities of applied sciences and find out about them directly on the website.

"Study counselling" online

A new feature on the UAS platform is the "Advice" section. Users and prospective students can find answers to important questions about choosing, applying and studying at a UAS. How useful is it to study, how much does it cost and what are the differences between a UAS and a university? What admission requirements do you have to fulfil, how does the application process work and can you study without a school-leaving certificate? What funding options are there, can you study abroad and what happens after you graduate? Information, tips and suggestions on these and many other topics are compiled in the guide, which is constantly being expanded and updated.

Since the relaunch, news and stories from the individual universities of applied sciences have also been published regularly on the UAS platform for the first time. In these "stories", students and graduates have their say, they provide insights into everyday study life or research projects and they report on student projects or present new study programmes.

Austria's FH Guide

The design of the website was further developed with a focus on optimised mobile use and adapted to the visual appearance of the printed "FH-Guide". This was already relaunched in 2020. It is published every year in October and is distributed to high school graduates throughout Austria. To increase recognisability, the FH platform has also been operating under the "FH-Guide" brand since the relaunch.

The concept, design and complete technical implementation of the new FH platform were realised by the agency FONDA Interaktive Medien und Kommunikation GmbH. Editorial support is provided by the agency russlinder PR.
