In the ranking, students rate their universities according to individual survey areas. In addition, objective data on the respective degree programmes is collected and evaluated. The universities of applied sciences have once again been honoured with top marks.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The following subject groups were assessed this year:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li>BUSINESS STUDIES<\/li>\n<li>Business informatics<\/li>\n<li>Commercial law<\/li>\n<li>Industrial Engineering and Management<\/li>\n<li>Social work<\/li>\n<li>Business Psychology<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ten institutions from the UAS sector took part in the ranking with a total of 92 study programmes that were evaluated.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The universities of applied sciences achieved the highest scores in the areas of \"studyability\", \"support at the start of studies\", \"contact with professional practice\", \"examinations\" and \"graduation within the minimum period of study\" as well as \"rooms\" and \"IT infrastructure\".<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">FHK President Ribitsch commented: \"It is extremely pleasing that FH students are still very satisfied with the study conditions at universities of applied sciences.\" According to Ribitsch, this result confirms the image analysis of the UAS sector published last year by the Institute for Empirical Social Research (IFES), according to which \"UAS graduates and UAS students are significantly more satisfied than university graduates and students\". Ribitsch continues: \"It is important to maintain the high quality of study programmes at universities of applied sciences. However, this has become very difficult. Politicians have failed to compensate for what inflation has eaten away at financial resources over the years. This is taking its toll, especially in the current crisis situation.\"<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With the cancellation of face-to-face teaching at the universities of applied sciences due to COVID-19, teaching was immediately moved to the virtual space and is now taking place online. This ensures that students can continue their studies. However, this changeover has resulted in additional costs that have hit the universities of applied sciences unprepared.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The CHE University Ranking is the most comprehensive and detailed ranking of German and Austrian universities. It is compiled using a sophisticated\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.che-ranking.de\/cms\/?getObject=64&#038;getLang=de\">Methodology<\/a>which, in addition to facts about studies, teaching, facilities and research, also includes students' assessments of the study conditions at their university.
